About
Anna was born in 1982. According to her mother, she used her hands to sculpt from the moment she gained control of them. In the first grade she was praised for making a clay triceratops, in the fourth grade she made villages of clay people atop the fireplace hearth. By the sixth grade she was making jewelry out of the family’s broken television, and from the eighth grade onward she sold jewelry she’d made.
Anna graduated with a B.f.a. from the Appalachian Center for Crafts in 2005. Since then she’s worked in Tennessee, California, New York and Virginia, as well as bicycling across the country in 2008.(flora and fauna from the trip inspire her work daily.) She is currently raising her two sons and offering her work to you on this website. Enjoy!
